As Covid-19 jolts the market, trading volumes have jumped by half at CME Group, the Chicago-based operator of futures exchanges. Interestingly, it seems like there are more folk willing to try trading futures as more are stuck at home. As most industries and commerce are stuck, financials infrastructure, mainly exchanges, keep ongoing (hopefully) at least online.

Retail traders are too small a segment to have driven that record. The big boy's hedging or speculating was responsible.
