Hi, I'm trying to figure out a code for the TOS platform. I want to find stocks that have touched the 21 ExpMav for a minimum of 3 days in a row, with the daily bars having a similar price range forming a base pattern. Can anyone possibly help me with this?

Try this:

declare lower;

Input Length = 21;

def avg = ExpAverage(Close, Length);
def count = if high > avg and low < avg then count[1] + 1 else 0;
plot base = count >= 3;

Simplified from original.

A different version if you want an arrow on the chart. Still works with a scanner.

# Find where the moving average is between the high and low for n bars
Input Length = 21;

def avg = ExpAverage(Close, Length);
def count = if high > avg and low < avg then count[1] + 1 else 0;

plot base = count >= 3;
base.setPaintingStrategy(PaintingStrategy.BOOLEAN_ARROW_UP);

For scanner setup (if study is called BasingStocks):

BasingStocks() is true
