Hi all, putting a call out to any Wyckoffians / VSA'ers who might be trading Asian timezone mkts (or know of any who are) on the forum to discuss/share/collaborate. I'm new to the forum so putting it out there. Will post in a few other categories in case they're lurking elsewhere.

I studied the Wyckoff course years ago and then studied VSA. They are very subjective approaches. Also, over a 6 year period I developed a bar by bar indicator that only requires 4 SOS and 4 SOW markers to identify nearly every bar where time, price and volume data is available. So you avoid some issues with VSA trading programs that can use over 300 indicators to identify 8 SOS principles and 8 SOW principles identified by the late Tom Williams. I trade the ASX stocks using Bullcharts software, not other Asian country stocks.

P.s below are two charts showing different options to identify individuals SOS or SOW bars or the fractal nature of sequential SOS and SOW bars. THere is also an option to provide two samples of statistics and a summary of weak or stong accumulation of distribution in each sample period. THe staitistics also summarise the noton that all volume on a SOS bars is demand and all volume on an SOW bar is supply. As well as an separate analysis of the supply and demand within each bar accumulated over the sampling periods. THese measurements are not the same.

Hey cmacdon, thanks for the reply. Yes the Wyckoff method is discretionary and therefore somewhat subjective by natrue making it challeneging to become proficient - I'm still on that journey. I havent used Tradeguider with the plethora of SOS/SOW and various other signals so i cant speak of it but it does sound complex. I'm sure those who have been trained in its use understand it but its not for me.

You've done some great work there. Glad you've been able to distill whats important and make it your own into something that works for you. Thats the ultimat goal in the end. Are you using Wyckoff principles to trade or ist it just a part of your overall pricess? I gather from attached you're swing trading trading off a daily chart?
