Hello,

As I looked to create strategies, I realize I am not well versed in finer entry and exit rules. My goal is to build a mechanical system of trading for my own self and then get an algo to execute those trades.

To this community, I would like to ask if there is a list of entry and exit rules that are available for a technical trader?

I want to be able to look at charts and better understand entry and exit rules and then backtest them

If there is a more relevant conversation, please link me to it.

Thanks!

Pardon me if I came across like I was asking for a holygrail. But is there a summarized list of entries and exits that can be articulated.

i.e Entries: a) After it close above high of the last 3 days b) Next bar after a high volume bar that has the highest volumes in the last 2 days

and so on
