I have what in my mind is quite a basic question, but honestly I am stuck and I don't know how to do it

I know how to use the trend lines and Rectangles in Tradestation … but I have to draw them based on the evolution of the stock (from one candle to another)

How can I do it if I want to draw a Rectangle or a line on the graph without basing/linking them to the evolution of the stock?. I don't want to draw my line from one candle of the stock to another … It would be like "free drawing" somehow

It is years ago, I've used Tradestation, but under settings (of the drawing-tool) there must be something like "dock" "undock" (cannot remember the exact word)

snap mode. turn it off and you can draw anywhere
