I have moved most of my assets into Schwab from TDAmeritrade, I have also opened an account with Interactive Brokers and AMP Futures(not funded yet). My mistake was not to leave $25000 at TDAmeritrade so they froze my account per PDT rule. Which really sucks because Futures trading is not even under PDT rule, except I am in an IRA account. So now I cannot trade futures with three futures accounts. I have missed some nice moves yesterday and today I would have lost as I was going to short too soon. Still I would have re-entered shorting. My other two futures account IB and AMP are non-IRA. I am thinking AMP is better than IB, so there I will go. Bastards at IB froze my funds for 4-days despite that it was already moved but a $1000 cannot even trade micro e-minis. I thought they have lower margins. Sheesh...

EDIT: they took the market data fee but I am not getting any market data. These people are thieves.

I'm with you on IB. Their customer service is virtually non-existant. They operate like the behemoth they are with technology from the 90s... Their margins may be low, but congrats on saving a few dollars on commissions when you lose 5000 USD in a single trade because their gateway API application goes down...

I've had it with them AMP Futures is good but I can't use them with NT8 which is a bummer (license of 2019 where they no longer support AMP)... Probably will have to stick with NT8 Dorman Trading... Not amazing but still decent commissions as I have a lifetime license.

Schwab for stocks is a good pick, I have the same setup. Easy, no big hassle, decent stock management with StreetSmartEdge etc.
