By the way, your post above is much more detailed than your initial questions, and much more likely to get a response. We sometimes get questions like "Tell me everything I need to know," which are sort of hard to answer. More explanation of what you are interested in can be helpful. Your last post added context and fleshed it out more.
It is simple to start a new thread. First, make sure you use the Search box at the top right corner of every page to see if there is already a thread for your topic (very important in order to prevent duplicates.) If there is not, begin by going to the home page of the forum and scrolling down to the list of topics (also called "forums" or "subforums.") Pick one that you want to look at and click on it. You will go to a list containing any subtopics it may have, and any existing threads. As you drill down, when you get to a subforum that you want to add a thread to, you will see a button labeled "New Thread." Click that and you will go to a page to set up your thread and make your first post in it.
There is a tutorial with more detail. Click on this link to go to it:
Yes, you read that correctly. So if you have a futures account with Tradestation you will have access to free live data for the US equity index futures. Best of luck!
Just got this from sales at Trade Station: Thanks for following up. Once you fund your futures account, you will receive access to the platform and real-time data for the CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX free. This should provide you with access to the micro futures contracts.
There is a potential of a $50 annual fee with us that can be waived as long as you place 5 trades in a year OR maintain at least 2k or more in your account in a year on average.
That looks good to my mind.
Thanks for all your help Prophet85 and everyone.
