I am still paper trading on ThinkorSwim but when I go live I will switch because I've heard ToS isn't futures friendly. All I use is price, volume and Weis Wave. How much does it cost to trade futures(MES) on TS? Is TS also a broker and data provider besides the charting platform? I'm looking at MultiCharts and Sierra Charts even though they don't have the Weis Wave I can probably get a programmer to create one for me.

NO. their data and software are good but they suck as brokers . you re correct about TOS as well. Sierra Chats are the best you referenced. X Trader , Ninja Trader , Motive Wave , and Investor RT are also used widely by traders on this forum.

If you want to automate your trading, Tradestation is a good platform. Not perfect but the automation is easy.

If your not automating I'm not sure why you would want to use Tradestation. Generally rates are more expensive than other brokers out there, and the inability to trade exchange listed spreads is very limiting and expensive when it comes to rolling positions.
