I currently have an account with NinjaTrader and was as of today reading that there is a way to trade Crypto Currencies on NinjaTrader, with a Live account with Coinbase ?

For anyone who is currently trading the Cryptos with Coinbase linked to their NinjaTrader account, is there anything you would advise ?

I am assuming you need a Live Multi-Broker license with Ninjatrader in order to trade the Cryptos via Coinbase ( NinjaTrader )?

I’m trading cryptos via NT8. The commissions that
come with this asset class are ridiculous when compared
traditional instruments. Coinbase is one of them.
There are other exchanges you could integrate into
NT8, like binance or Bitfinex which are cheaper
and more tradable pairs.

I also have traded BTC and ETH via Ninjatrader using ninjatools.studio deribit plugin. It costs 37 bucks a month but it's the only way you could have OCO orders consistenly
I don't think you need a multi broker license for it.

Alhough, I highly recommend the above product, there is a frustrating bug which prevents you to have simultanuous connections opened at once. You will need to disconnect from all other providers to use the plugin.

Deribit has limited offer of instruments (mostly futures) but they offer 0.00% as a maker and 0.075% as a taker. If you wanna try, I could send a reflink.

For people looking to use NinjaTrader for trading on Coinbase:

It's possible to make a connection to Coinbase in NT (even without a Coinbase account). You can chart the data (and backtest automated strategies) but you cannot place trades (i.e. execute orders).
