So I am trying to set up a script to run on my VPS that basically would monitor if a certain Tradestation process is running. If it doesn't detect this process then it would send me an email.
I was thinking about letting the script monitor "ORPlat". However I am not sure if this is the correct process to monitor. Is there anybody who knows what process that would be optimal to check for?
Another thing is that Tradestation doesn't really crash for me in the sense that it actually shuts down but it can freeze and stop reacting to inputs like mouse clicks which forces me to shut it down through the task manager. I am not quite sure if or which of the Tradestation related processes actually stop working when this happens but if none of them actually stop working during the freeze/crash then I assume that the script wouldn't detect the crash/freeze and wont send out an email.
Does anybody have any advice to give?
Best regards!
