Hi,

I'm trying to write a simple code that's able scan/pull out stocks if the RSI line went up from the previous bar/candle. I want to be able to change the timeperiod. If it's 1 bar or 14 bars.

Any help is much appreciated.

Your request is all ready built-in to the ThinkOrSwim platform!

Here are the steps:

1. Go to the "Scan" tab
2. Select the "Stock Hacker" option
3. Click "+ Add Filter" and select "Stock" which will add a "Stock" filter and Select he option "Close" or whatever
4. Click "+ Add Filter" and select "Study" which will add a "Stock" filter
5. Select the main option "Popular Studies" and sub option "RSI_Scan" and key in "RSI length" and "Average"
6. Click on the default period buton "D"(Day) to change the period.
7. Click the GREEN "Scan" button to begin the Scan.

Once the scan works to your query requirements, you can also :

1. Save the query for later use or modification by reloading it
2. Save the "Scan" as a "Watchlist" with a named like "Stocks with RSI(14) > 70" and Go to the "Watchlist" and select the saved scan which will AUTOMATICALL updated the "Watchlist" with all the stocks that matched the query requirements.
3. Set up alert when the scan results is changed (Very useful feature)
4. You can also edit the saved Scan DIRECTLY on the "Watchlist" by selecting the "Edit (Stocks with RSI(14) > 70)" option on the "Watchlist" itself!

Happy Trading,
Midpoint
