Maximum of 1 ATM strategy at a time

I would like to limit the number of ATM orders to a maximum of 1 at a time (per chart and/or instrument). So if I have an active ATM in play, my system cannot trigger a second one. If there's a no code solution that would be great. If not, I would love to hear your take on it.

I haven't done too much coding with strats... but if I understand, you only want a trade to be taken if you are currently flat?

If that is the case... you could do something like:

if (Position.MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Flat){
  //Then take a trade
}
