Dr. Tara Swart talked about the importance of best temperature for trading rooms in her Alphamind podcast interview

Does anyone know what that temperature range is?

Any scientific reasons behind it?

Thanks

Well here is something that never even crossed my mind haha. I would guess the best temperature would be the one that you feel the most comfortable with but I might be wrong on that. I have heard that cooler environments stimulate productivity which might have something to do with better brain function. If our brain is like a computer (which it sort of is) then it would only make sense that during trading we use it a lot so having a cool environment to kind of help "cool it down" is a good idea. I might be totally wrong on that but I do find myself opening a window during periods of "intense trading focus"

Steve Cohen of SAC Capital/Point72 believes that low temperatures keep traders sharp. He is known for keeping the temperature of his trading floor at 20 degrees Celsius.

I'm not sure about the correct temperature for the brain but if my feet are warm I trade better.
If they are cold it is harder to stay focused. LOL

Too warm and no amount of coffee is going to keep me awake, just ask my high school algebra teacher.
