Hiya,

I want to compare the usage of NT8 for algorithmic trading on IB with using the native IB's programming languages for algorithmic trading with IB? Can someone compare these two and feedback if the algorithmic trading created on NT8, can be as same reliable and fast as algorithmic trading created on the native IB's programming languages?

In case orders submitted to the IB by NT8 algorithmic trading encountered any technical error will the NT8 is able to verify the order's status by default implemented mechanisms and confirm for the algorithmic robot that orders placed on the IB are accurate and intact and in place as on schedule or shall I hardcode these mechanisms myself? Is this make sense what I mean by order verification? And how shall I verify or if required implement this?

Is the NT8's algorithmic trading would be as fast and as accurate as developing in IB's native programming languages on IB TWS-API?

While the code developed on NT8, will the code after comiling runs locally on the NT8 or if I use specific the indicators or variables in NT8, will NT be in need to connecting to the Ninjatrader servers each time I execute the code o NT8 and if this is the case, how shall this be prevented to reduce NT8 lage in connection to IB TWS-API please?

Tnx and best of luck

They won't be a speed/reliability difference: Ninja and others used the IB API to talk to TWS/IB Gateway, so the principle is the same.
NinjaTrader don't talk to NinjaTrader servers, all is done locally.

If you quickly check the an IB API example, let's say based on Python (which is the simpler I think), you'll see that it's not simple at all compared to a Ninja strategy. Ninja (and other high level software) do the painful job for you, you don't have to reinvent the wheel.

This is the same conclusion we came to.

There might be some cases where IB features such as more granular control of IB's smart trade router, or working with options or unusual instruments are important.
