Hey! I like the forum. I have downloaded a lot of indicators, but today they all seem to not work anymore. Do you guys know why they are not showing anymore? It shows in ninjatrader that the indicators are there, but the chart looks like there is nothing there.

hAVE you checked your output window or log?

For Output Window: New->NinjaScript Output
^The above will tell you if the indies are throwing any errors.

For the Log: Maximize your Ninjatrader Main panel, click the Log tab at the bottom.
^Errors will show up in red, orange or yellow, and may narrow down the issue.


Also, may be obvious, and u likely have tried this... but have you tried turning it off and on again(restart)?

When you open the indicator window, you'll see the list of available indicators in the top left section but you need to select and press the ADD button on any given indicator to add them to your chart.

I think this is a good response because @mkuc didn't say how well he knows the platform.

I remember once when i was working in an office, a woman came to me complaining the printer could not print. I said, did you press the power button to turn it on? It revealed to be the correct solution to her problem. We often are quick to discard what is obvious.

Here is a picture of the chart. Id say im decent at ninjatrader. Done some compiling repairs etc. I have tried ninjascript output. No errors so far unfortunately.

Any other advice?

Hey - I had the same problem a few days ago. This is what caused my issue.

If I shut NT down without the charts - with all drawings/indicators - being fully loaded, then when I open NT the next time I get all the charts but no indicators or drawings.

Using the restore option you can go back a day or two and load them up again and this gets your charts back to normal.

My charts take a minute or two to load fully...after lots of testing I worked out that if I shut down prematurely my charts are clean.
