Have you guys SEEN this yet? Launched a few months ago (late 2020) it is a:

"The vision of Earth 2 is to create a global digital representation of our earth, a place where people can build, abide, trade, live, experience, interact and so much more. The vision is long term and monumental and we feel the introduction of Earth 2 represents the birth of the world's virtual timeline. "

So, this basically blew up so fast, already ~30 million in money (through paypal, not crypto?) has been pushed into this game. AND it has a marketplace. I thought a bunch of traders would be interested in something so interesting.

Would love to hear all the thoughts on this one. Personally, I think it is ambitious, and they are connected with Dillon Seo, one of the co-founders of Oculus. Needless to say, this one is already turning heads.

Very interesting. The concept kinda reminds me of Second Life with a little Entropia Universe economy sprinkled in. No question that virtual land ownership is definitely a thing.

As an old dude, I guess I just don't get it LOL, save for saying "yeah I own a portion of the virtual Golden Gate Bridge"... but the fact that people are spending money on it, especially when most of the details of the future phases are opaque, doesn't depend on my perspective.

The FAQ page is great though If it takes off, the team will be called visionaries. At the moment they are highly optimistic, but that's how everything that gets accomplished starts. Thanks for the link @kingoliver, I'll be following in interest if only to understand more about virtual economies.

This is indeed reminding me of Second Life, which was basically pushed on me through some popup ad on edge browser and I was so bored that actually caved in. (Life without social life)

But in less than an hour I realized it was more tuned towards people so bored with real life that they are inclined to do naughty things in virtual world without rules and consequences. Dropped it then and there as it was too much out there for me to handle (Thank god for my moral sense kicking in)

Can't see this fairing any different.
