Hi, I'm new to NinjaTrader.
Sorry for the dumb question but has anyone got any free strategies that will actually back test as at all profitable?
I'm finding very few free ones.
I'm not seeing anything thats profitable.
Seems like I need to spend a lot more time on this.

Well, someone may be able to steer you to a free and profitable strategy... but I doubt it.
Essentially, why would something that makes money be given away? What would be the motivation for the person who has it?
By the way, the same logic holds even more so for strategies that are sold -- what would be the motivation to even sell something that is profitable, instead of just running it and taking in the profit? Except, of course, that you can get a profit out of an unprofitable system by selling it to someone else, if it doesn't make money for you. Trading is a business, and profitable things are not normally either given away or sold; they are put to use by the traders who have them, for their own gain.
I would not expect an easy way to make money in the markets. You can learn how to put together and test strategies yourself, but I wouldn't expect someone to hand you, or to sell you, a way to be profitable. If it's any good, they will use it themselves, and keep it to themselves.

Writing a strategy is like swimming.....you can watch someone swim, you can read all sorts of books on it.....but until you actually do it...you wont learn it....here on Futures.io there are all sorts of Webinars....and several strategies and how to write them...you just copy those and you will gain a good knowledge of how a strategy works....start with the simple....in fact NT has sample strategies in it that you can use......the strategies in NT are created by using parameters....you dont have to write code...the software does that...if you want to do that just rename one of the strategies and then go in and look at the code ....its all there...unless you are a programmer....you are going to want to stick with the parameters...there is a first strategy course in Eco systems also....its where I would begin....
There are plenty of free to use coded indicators floating on internet to learn from, but it seems you want to specifically learn from "profitable codes of others", I don't think ninja trader ecosystem for that matter anyone else can give you that.
As for your plan to use theory of "if we all buy at the same point we will more likely to be profitable" sounds great, but would be impossible to execute, but if anything that can come close to it, its going to be pivot points, good luck!
