Hello, i currently trade stocks and have a hot key script where i double click on the chart (using DAS Trader) and then enter and it puts in the share amount to risk the amount of R everytime. For example, i would double click a penny below the intraday low and hit my hot key and it takes the Entry Price (Ask) - Intraday low (lets call it $1). I risk 1% of my account per trade so it uses that calculation to come up with the share amount and then it puts the trade through for me. Im slowly going to start trading futures and would like to know if this is possible with any platform out there? If i want to scalp and the low of the previous 15min bar is lets say 3 points and im risking $150 a trade it would know the max i can do is 1 contract of ES and it would enter the long for me with a stop below the previous 15min low. This way of trading makes entering super simple and efficient for me trading stocks and im hoping i can also do it with futures.

Regarding doing this with a platform used for Futures… I know you can get this custom made for Sierra. I have had plenty of order entry tools built for me by freelance programmers that work on Sierra Charts.
I’m sure this can be done on NT8 as well.

If you know how to code C++, then Sierra Chart has documentation to learn ACSIL- their native language used to extend and integrate with SC.
If not- then they have a list on their website of vendors which provide custom programing services to do this.
I don't want to link on here the SC vendors list, as I am unsure if that would be in violation of any of the forum rules- but you can find it by googling "List of Third Party Sierra Chart Study and System Programmers".

Hi, I have been using Sierra for many years..... let me point out that, if you simply want to compute how many contracts you can afford by risking x amount of money, there is a a simple way to do that.
There is built in tool in Sierra it's called risk-reward calculator. Give a look to it.
