I'm getting instant email notifications for subscribed threads. I have tried changing the default method which I suspect if for any NEW threads I subscribe to, but maybe there is another setting somewhere that I'm missing to stop notifications from threads already subscribed to? I've tried setting the following to none, and weekly and then waited a day for it to take effect. No joy.
The subscriptions, and frankly some other parts of the settings interface, are sometimes kind of hard to figure out. This site runs on an extensively-modified open-source commercial bulletin board software that has been worked on by, I believe, a number of people over the years. Some parts of it are a little easier to deal with than others.
I took a look, and I think that you can eliminate the subscribed threads you don't want by going to "List Subscriptions" and then clicking on one you want to change (or the checkbox at the top of the column if you want to check all of them), then the dropdown for Selected Threads, and choosing "Delete Subscription", and then "Go".
It did it for this example, so it should be what you want:
Let me know if it did it.

Did Big Mike ever get the new Battle of the Bots contest going again? I only found the old one where he mentioned it was expected to be up and running in 2021.
I have used the renko bars off and on for a while. They are simply tick based bars rather than time based. For example here is the Friday ES chart in 5 tick renko bars vs. 5 min bars.
In my experience the renko bars have not been very helpful. The big institutions seem to use the 5 min bar charts for there trading algorithms. So, it's much easier to identify trends, channels, wedges, reversals, etc. based on a 5 min chart.
