But a logical conclusion that any AI might reach is "Humans are the problem". I don't know man, I for sure think terminator will happen sooner or later.


Also, problem wasn't just "Family rule" in Shrilanka, it was series of bad decision making on part of their government. A government which not too long ago exterminated Tamil populous and their majority had supported this very same government through out the bloody road.

This is just case of one too many radical bets and bad luck of having covid lockdowns at the crucial period.

How about those decisions were done by AI instead of humans full of emotions and greed?

From what I read, they reduced exports and thus did not have more international trades compared to previous decade, resulting in shortage of foreign currency reserves.

Also took bad steps in introducing local fertilizers instead of importing them and it resulted in crop failures. That's why they had to supplement food stocks from other countries where their foreign cash reserves were already getting depleted.

There are two problems:

1. AI is not as powerful and ready yet to actually take control, process and create appropriate decisions for the humanity. It is still in the learning mode, although some powerful AI codes created such as playing games are so good, even the professionals in the sports lose badly against and admit, it is not possible to win against AI. At the same time, look the bots created to run the trading floor - look how powerful they are in 'stealing' money from you and me everyday!

2. Considering there will be one day - one day we will actually have AI capable of taking over and making all the decisions for the humanity, which political leader(s) will be actually willing to let go their political chair and power to AI?
Which one? Name me one.

And this is THE precise reason why EBEs - Extraterrestrial Biological Entities - are not feeling safe from us 'primitive' humans and that is the reason they have yet to reveal themselves officially. They will keep monitoring the humanity until we reach a certain threshold of mental capacity because we are still doing what we have been doing since thousands of years: Killing each other for resources! That's how primitive we still are!

I feel we might be overestimating application of AI here.

Also, there seems to be problem with information there,

1. They did not reduce export, they basically had no foreign income sources other than tourist and farming and fishing produce. Their fishing areas also have lot of competition from their very large neighbors, so its always so-so.

2. Tourism was hit badly in covid and later due to Russia-Ukrainian war. That was their most prominent tourist flock. So while others may have recovered after lock-down lift, Shrilanka did not.

3. They did not suffer due to local fertilizer, they suffered due to "importing of bio-fertilizer" from China. This was contaminated, a stroke of both miscalculation as well as misfortune there.

China even took couple of million dollars later to just take back what they had sold, since it was resting on ships in Shrilankan ports.

I also wish AI would reach a point where we could truly leave things to them, but its far from there and there is ultimately somewhere human intervention would be needed even if AI reached our imaginary level.
