Is it just me, or have the markets been slow this week? I've been looking at the MES and MNQ, there's been movement but it crawls.

I did read that China's markets are closed all week, would this affect the US markets? And also both the MES and MNQ have made new lows on the daily chart, could this be causing the slow movement?

Or am I just imagining it? Thoughts?

Same here - it isn't just you; have been thinking exacty the same!

(PS I know nothing about China, but have just found out that today is also the biggest and most significant Jewish holiday of the year. No idea whether that would affect market volatility at all, though. Sorry, not really a very helpful response altogether?!).

Yeah I'd imagine that's the problem. It's been slow as hell all week... hopefully will pick up again next week. I hate the slow days, no clear direction and price whipsawing all the time. Would be interested to hear how people are trading this.

There are periods in last 10 years where NQ moves barely 100 points for weeks. At some point it's really going to slow down.
