Hello Programmers -
How can we make a Bollinger bands that shows the bands as GLOBAL Objects.

I need Bollinger bands from a higher timeframe to show on my very short timeframe charts in the background.

Thank you !

Hi Opal,

Does a simple code free solution work?

1a) CTRL-F to add another data series, the longer time-frame data series to your Chart
1b) Change the Bar type from Candlestick to "Line on Close"
1b) Change the Line on Close color to "Transparent"
1c) Set the Panel for your new, longer period Data Series to Panel 1
1d) Click Ok

2a) CTRL-I to add an indicator
2b) Select Bollinger
2c) Change the data Input the longer term data series you added above.
2d) Click Ok

"Presto - Magico" All done.

Yea -- I knew of that -- but >>>

I have some custom charts that seem to SELF DESTRUCT if I add any other data series to them...

I have some complex indicators that do not seem to do so good with 2 or more data series on the same chart.

That really sucks and stops that from being an option.

See if this approach is less disruptive to the other indicators:

Basically we keep the second time frame in its own panel, apply the Bollinger indicator to it, then drag those Bollinger bands to the lower timeframe panel, and finally shrink the panel we don't need.
