Trying to be disciplined and not trade this sideways slow action. I know from experience that during this quiet period in the market positions tend to lose money and drift in the wrong direction. So I have done 0 trades so far today.

I follow these rules for trading futures:

When market is slow, price will likely go against me, so if I trade I will have to live with the consequences

A trending market will likely continue in the same direction.

Sell high and buy low

Don't use stop orders

Get out of losing trades

After I exit a trade, take some time to calm down and don't trade for a while to get my head on straight

Don't trade just because I want to make money
