Hi. I'm looking for an indicator that would measure the top and bottom part of the wicks on a candle. For example, if the top part of the wick is 6 ticks, the body 4 ticks and the bottom wick 3 ticks,is there an indicator available for ninja that would highlight the whole candle for me?

Thanks in advance.

I've never seen anything like that. It could be written easily, but I don't know what you expect it to show you. Wicks have no significance. It's like looking at a clock and thinking that the position of the second hand can tell you what day it is. Imagine that the minute bars are all perfectly synced to the official NIST nuclear clock. That clock sync might produce a dogi. But if the one minute bar clock is synced just 15 seconds later than the official NIST nuclear clock it might not even have a wick. What would that indicate?

This is last year's post but since I was looking for a wick indicator and saw this post, I thought I would comment. Wicks can indeed be important and thus the reason I am searching for an indicator that will display a symbol or the actual length of a wick in ticks if a minimum size occurs. The reason it can be important; you want to short the close of a bar. Your strategy says to place a stop 2 ticks above the high of the bar. Without knowing the wick size, you don't immediately know your risk. If anybody has seen an indicator like this, please post. Thanks.

This thread has some wick-related code that can be easily adapted for your purpose I think.
