Hello,

This is my first post in our wonderful website. I am new to trading, I started exploring Ninjatrader and try to understand the e-mini Furure and how to trade.

things is not easy as i expected. I watched a lot of videos on YouTube and on NT website, but i think these videos are good for someone has a background in trade not a new one

I hope our amazing team can put me in the right track.

Thanks

Hi @mohelsheikh

Welcome to the great community.

Let me try to give you a first guidance base on my experience. I assume you already install the NT8.
It is very important to know tools in your tool box. So just go through menu's and get familiar with it.
Once you have an idea you can inspect every menu for example a chart.
Do baby steps open chart and property window will come up. Open the default setting first and then find the button to get back and modify it.

You will be surprised that in couple of days you will know how to navigate around the tool.

Now the second part of the question. How to trade. My wild guess you are talking about the strategy.
Before you even look into it, it will be good to do some research on trading in general. For example, do you want to be a scalper then you need another tool like Jigsaw or something similar, may be bookmap or maybe you are going to take a learning curve to read the chart like PAT's.

Futures.io have it all. There are many journals here. I keep brining up Chipps journal because the guy managed to pass Evaluation test with a simple Moving Average trading strategy.

Search function in this forum works very well. So use it for your own benefits. You can even find many custom indicators that you can import into NT8.

It is not a sprint so do not rush it. The key thing to take is once you made decision focus on it and don't try to look for anything else. I mean a strategy. Be a master of that strategy and once you have your "One good trade" you can expend your horizons.

If you struggle with something specific that you unable to find answer through the search. Please raise it and people will help out.
