Guys , tomorrow we fly back to Miami and begin the process of removing this external fixator and then the long road of six to nine months with still no elbow and my left arm just kind of dangling by my side.
The biggest impact is I can't type on a real keyboard which makes coding extremely difficult even though I have a strong willingness to do so.
After 6 to 9 months we will find out if I am a candidate to receive a new prosthetic or if I'm likely to remain like this for life. Assuming the best, six months later so roughly September next year, I need to start the process of replacing my right prosthetic as well. It is giving me horrible pain and failing.
My left shoulder pain today is horrendous, which is why I can't sleep tonight.
Please send positive energy our way this week for a successful removal of the fixator and that it looks good after.
