Hello,

Finding edge is never ending story, so currently I'm trying to build something based on Options on DAX Index. Does someone have any idea how to maybe use options OI, volume on specific strike, call/put ration on our thin market called DAX

Any tools?

Thank you

@kremat0r

The whole topic with the individual tools, which you have mentioned, works in approximately the same way in most markets. I can say this openly, because I have made options trades for various strategies in various futures markets, and there was, at least to me and my trading partner at those time, no big different when it came to analyzes with this tools and then do the work with those tools.

So if you have already built up a good knowledge of the tools mentioned in another market or markets, then use it now in the DAX. If you have not yet come very far, then the following thread will help you at least a little further, because I addressed these tools very little in it.

Hope it helps to a certain point.

Thanks for your input.

Can someone share maybe some tools/websites specific for DAX Options?
I just found some on EUREX/Xetra website and that's it.
Not much compare to SPX etc.

thank you

In the following link you will find delayed data to your question about "Tools/websites specific for DAX Options".

https://www.barchart.com/futures/quotes/DY*0/options

For real time data, if needed, depending on what kind of option strategies how you trade and the way you implement it in the market, you may contact them.

By the way: Do you have a broker to trade the "DAX" inclusive options and what kind of information does he give you about those questions?

Fine, so what else you are looking for as you have a lot of information with those broker on the "DAX Option Chain". Did you really read through the information I was posting in the shown thread regarding how to look at options? I know, it is not much. But it is absolute basic stuff to know any way. You even can compare my link and the info's there with your brokers info's.

May I ask about your current knowledge in and about Option Trading? What kind of option strategies, hedges or pure naked option trading have you done so far? What is exactely your plan how to use options in the "DAX"?

I know some strategies, but I want to discuss here other idea:

I'm asking if anyone trades futures using options levels, data, volume etc?

Options also, I'm asking separately for DAX because it's only one options tradable index with dividends included in calculations, maybe it's make a difference also.

Hmm, so far you have only asked questions and asked for ideas for tools, which is perfectly legal. After your vague answer to my, partly unanswered questions, you say this:

"I'm asking if anyone trades futures using options levels, data, volume etc".

I have done this for years (You can check may avatar information) and I have given some inside of this in my thread mentioned. But you seem not even able to recognize and work with this infos.

So, why don't you finally start to deliver something from your side and show how you want to form such a discussion?

Maybe you will find someone who is willing to play Q&A games with you. I, for myself, will now just be a spectator here, since I see no further point in wasting time with you here at all.

Take care and all the best.
