I was looking for a back-testing solution and came across VectorBT and its pro version. I am currently testing its basic version - figure there is much to learn before considering the pro version. I wanted to check with the community here - about your experience? Are any of you using it - what does it do better that others don't and any tips and tricks to get the best from this back-testing engine?

im currently using on a project, pro is just amazing.
you can currently use the internal functions to build your own simulator for complex operations.

Thousands of configurations as risk_free_points, benchmarking, optimizaton, indicators creation, i added some famous indicators from this forums and vbt calculates really fast thanks to numba.

data classes and parsers from a lot of useful data providers...

only con i found is that you can't connect with a broker to live-trading like backtrader.

sorry 4 my english but in summary, it's worth it.

Thank you for this response. Is there any changelog that I can see for the latest pro versions? Also, is it possible to run the pro version on two instances? One locally and one on a server?

I cannot share part of the private repo due to the terms and conditions.

Once you become a sponsor you can download the repo as many times as you want. I use it privately both locally and on the server where I train the models.

To launch it commercially, I recommend talking to the owner of the code.
