Trying to build a strategy on NT8 that uses limit orders. According to NT forum and a few videos from Pablo at markers, this should be right. But it just won't work. Here is just a simple test I made to illustrate. The entry is being made at the next bar's open instead of 100 ticks away as shown. Can't figure it out. Am I doing something wrong or is my NT broke?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Doesn't look like you understand how limit orders work. A buy limit order will buy at the target price or better. In your case, this is High + 100. So, it will buy at price High + 100, or less. In this case, the open of the next bar is less than high + 100, so the order will be executed. Perhaps, you mean to do a Buy Stop order, instead of limit.
Got the entry working now. I am using the high of the trigger candle to go long one tick above. Is there any way to use the low of that same candle as the stop in strategy builder?
