Hi Ninjatrader 8 user community! It's been several months since the release of version 8.1 (March 2023?), and when I saw all the negative comments from the early adopters, I decided to just upgrade to 8.0.28.0 (it works just fine) and wait-out all the patches for 8.1.x, figuring that once it finally got cleaned-up I would worry about making the leap to the current version. So, are we there yet, in your opinion?

Also, the whole 'register for an account' concept seemed weird and Orwellian; given that I paid a grand for a lifetime license key, and keep a couple of small accounts with Ninjatrader Brokerage, it would seem that they're already sufficiently aware of my trading activities ... what else do they need to know?

Seeing as Nnjatrader 8.1 freezes time independant charts such as Ninzarenko, UniRenko etc, has locked thread errors popping up and problems with compiling code... I would say they are pretty far away from a great product. Would you trust your money with a platform that freezes your charts?

I even read that people were downgrading to version 8.0.26 to get rid of the freezing charts. Something about how the database got re-made after that version. Ninjatrader has a lot of bugs and problems to get fixed before "we are there".

Bad enough I'm in the process of migrating away from the platform.

I think Rithmic is at least half of the issue to be honest.
