I'm thinking of switching from Sierra Chart to Tradingview. SC is a great platform but I don't need all the options, just price and volume, trendlines and maybe an indicator that shows yesterdays high and low. I make 1 to 3 trades a day, no scalping. For those of you using or have tried Tradingview, what do you think of the platform? Can you pick your data service or is it integrated like ToS? Thanks

You can either purchase the data from Tradingview for $5 a month or you can use Ampfutures brokerage who allows you to use Tradingview as one of their trading platforms. That means you can trade both papertrades and live if you have both the data from Tradingview and the data from Ampfutures.

As a charting platform, TradingView (desktop) is really, really good. Doesn't freeze even at the time of FOMC announcements. Clean interface, very user-friendly. Good customer support. Tickets always answered within 24 hours with an actual solution.

I use it only for charting, nothing else. The broker interface is useless because you cannot store order presets. The size is always 1, for example. Anything else, and you have to change it manually before placing the order every time.

I use the Tradovate Dom for trading, Tradingview for charts
