Thanks. Very interesting. An odd corner of the trading world. I was never aware of it.

About what was the timeframe for all this? Also, were these US firms?

Bob.

Time frame was around 2020-early 2023 at its peak. FTMO was the first one around 2017 if I recall, based in Prague. There were some US based but most were offshore. Most of the US based ones moved offshore and shuttered as marketshare dried up. Payout denials had run rampant and still do for the few that are still around. Trust had been lost, so those seeking quick and easy fortunes have moved onto futures.

One thing I forgot to mention is, that some of very sketchy people who run CFD prop firms, are also entering the Futures space. 🤦

CFD prop Firm MyFundedFX started MyFundedFutures some months ago. CEO always has been sketchy and a punk.

They are also trying to make it so that anyone can open their own Futures Prop Firm. That alone sets off alarm bells.

CFD prop firm Alpha Capital Group going to start their own as well

My contention is that any CFD Prop shop should not be taken seriously if they enter the Futures space.

If i recall there are a few others that have or are considering jumping in as well.

Much appreciated I have been funded with apex and topstep for some time now no complaints but I really think the space is over saturated

That must apply to Apex, also, then, as they did exactly that, didn't they? Or do you make a special exception for them?

They were not involved in the Forex CFD space like all the others.

This is a snapshot of the most popular ones at its peak in mid 2022. Most are not around anymore.

Please start a new thread to discuss these issues that are not specific to Apex so they can be referenced more easily. New thread also deserved for the named turn key company.

I'll sticky it in the new Funded Trader forum as soon as I create it.

Is anyone interested in commenting on the issues Apex is currently having? Its more widespread, hundreds if not thousands of people.

They shut their server down due to an extreme overwhelm of technology issues. Apparently, rithmic was having data issues with its sim, and people are complaining about ' ghost orders' and lack of speed, sometimes taking minutes for an order to get executed.

This was happening to people using ninjatrader, quantower, tradovate, r trader, sierra and probably more.

Personally, I ran into some of these issues multiple times, and I think its important for them to clarify what is happening without the general responses from their mods or customer service, which were:

- stop trading too large/ around events/news ( even if it wasnt true) is the sim engine itself the problem, widening out the bid/ask multiple points for a split second?
- your internet is dropping out ( hundreds of people at the same time?)
- is it the copy trader they created that is the issue?
- is is ninjatrader and the bridge?

and many more, but there is a BIG problem, and I think its important to have this conversation, as they are clearly the leader in this space currently.
