I started out the day well, and then I made a couple of mistakes and, basically, threw in the towel. I had a free reset so I reset the account. Then, I got into a great trade to catch the big move up that I was watching for and realized after being up $600 that TopstepX had automatically put me into the practice account instead of the combine account. I closed the trade and then decided to switch gears. I bought a new combine account that is enabled for NinjaTrader. It was annoying using a combination of NinjaTrader and TopstepX to trade so now I will be able to trade directly from NinjaTrader.
I am going to be focused on how to better manage my losses. I think almost every trade that I have taken in the combine account during the last few weeks would have ended up working or been break even had I been able to trade the way I have been accustomed to for so many years now. The $1K daily loss limit has been challenging, but I am determined to become successful at this and become a funded trader.
Hopefully, next week will mark a new successful phase of my trading journey.
