Want to level up from time to time starting on MES and jumping up to ES when leveling exceeds 10 micro contracts. Is this possible while running one strategy?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Yes you can.. on the tab below just click the + button and open up another chart. Click on your Es Or MES and boom done.. You will have two tabs one ES And one MES .. add your favorite indicators. Or right click on the tab below duplicate add Mes and boom done. Good luck!
I think that there is an unorthodox way of running the same basic strategy in two different markets at the same time. You first need two versions of your strategy (e.g., Strategy X-MES & Strategy X-ES), and two separate charts (MES & ES). Strategy X-MES on the MES Chart, and strategy X-ES on the ES Chart. The “X” is the name of your strategy. The idea is that both strategies will track, respond, and be triggered by the same set of market conditions (i.e., MES & ES prices move almost in lock step), but the strategies will differ as to when trade entries are taken. That is the X-MES strategy will run as it does now, but stop leveling up after 10 micro contracts (i.e., after 10 strategy triggered level ups). Also, the X-ES strategy will run identically as the X-MES strategy, but it will not start entering trades until the 11th strategy triggering to enter a position and level up. Moreover, if both strategies are started at about the same time, then they would both be responding to the same market signals, and thus you would start your ES trade entries only after your MES trades have leveled up to 10 contracts. However, depending on the complexity of your strategy, this idea might only be possible with the help of an additional product like Sharkindicators.com Bloodhound. I hope this idea helps you with your trading.
