Why is my automated order getting rejected by MC?

I've been testing my strategy with paper trader and it works!!!! Yippee!!!

Now, I went to have it send orders to my broker (and YES, I did select the correct broker in the plug in)...

I get Status: Rejected. See attachment.


I called the broker and they said they never saw the order nor did the exchange and therefore they didn't reject the order. So it must be MC. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Well for this, you gotta tell us your secret edge first. Joking.

Check with your account provider. Are you trying to put in trades during any news events? Because some prop firms do not allow this, as well as OCO orders.

Talk to MC if the broker said they never saw it. There should be logs. Usually, platforms like MC, Tradestation etc don't/can't reject orders, so I'd still bet it was something past MC.

I remember once I had a rejected order and it was a symbol mapping issue.

SOLVED:

Apparently it's not good enough to pick the correct plugin. You also have to go into the gear settings and make sure you have an account number selected. ARGH.
