Yeah, I know.. that title is from the "Wayback machine".... anyone else here using DDE links (RTD) to feed their Excel workbook from futures exchanges? I'm looking for an alternate source other than eSignal (which I've been using for ages).

The problem is that when I have to restart my Excel workbook, it's not giving me any "historical" bars going back "x" minute timeframes and only updating the realtime quotes from the point I restart the workbook forward.

Very frustrating to have to wait for the data to populate again.

Any feedback from anyone?

Thanks!!!

I use Excel RTD links with both Trading Technologies and Stellar Trading Systems. Both of these also only update information from when the workbook is opened. I'd be surprised if you found something that populated history as well.

Hi... thanks for the reply. Well, the crazy (and annoying) thing is it used to up until just several months ago. Then it stopped doing that. Ugh.

Do you find you have to ever "restart" your Excel spreadsheet? I keep mine running all the time for extended market quotes... That's why I ask.

Ok.. thanks... sometimes, it only lasts 3 days for me and I have to restart... Something must be hanging up my Excel instance or something.
