I was looking for a tips and tricks thread, but could not find one. I am a huge fan of Googles Search especially with it's Gemini AI built in. But the Chrome browser by design sucks up RAM for efficient bouncing between tabs (stores em in RAM). That's something helpful if you don't have a lot of bandwidth, but I do. I tried some Chrome settings to tweak this but those settings did not work so good, Chrome was/is still a resource sucker/pig. When trading I want all the RAM I can get, in general when using my laptop I want all the RAM I can get. What's the saying," You always pay taxes and never have enough RAM". The Edge browser on the other hand does not consume as much RAM/Resources by its design. So.... I made Google the default Search engine in Edge. I find this configuration very useful and wanted to pass that on. FYI I am running Windows 11.

I use Grok as my primary Ai.

I also hate the way YouTube requires I either pay for a subscription or endure the useless ads that display before and during videos.

As a result I used to use DuckDuckGo browers for all of my Youtube link. However, lately DuckDuckGo browser has recently stopped preventing Youtube videos from showing ads.

So I swapped to Brave Browser and it does a good job stopping the ads.

I don't like the built-in browser Ai (Leo). It seems to popup answers when I search and they are sometimes helpful but I still prefer Grok. Grok seems to be very advanced for my needs.

(I am not against supporting ads to help the creator, however, the amount of ads on YouTube as become annoying and excessive.)

I'm with you on this - I tend to download the YT videos, watch them and delete them afterwards.
