I've spent the last three years digging through this forum, and it's clear there was a golden age. The vast majority of the "alpha"—the incredible indicators, webinars, and deep knowledge—all seems to come from the 2009-2021 period. Contributors like Bob C, Eric, and many others were sharing a wealth of foundational trading knowledge.
Then, around 2021, the entire focus of the forum shifted.
It's no longer about learning the craft for the long term. Now, it's dominated by discussions of funded payout programs, people just trying to pass combines, and chasing quick payouts. The original pursuit of knowledge has been replaced by utter degeneracy.
Unsurprisingly, those amazing people from the pre-2021 era are no longer active here. The one saving grace is that the search function is good enough to let me go back and filter out everything after 2021.
Has anyone else noticed this dramatic decline?
Chaos at one level of magnification is harmony at a higher level of magnification.
Yup, I've noticed the same thing... running a forum is tough, lord I've tried, mine's a ghost town...but my website has grown substantially, have you checked out forex-central.net at all?

@Darvish your definitely not wrong. Many/Most (but not all) of those who I would consider the pillars of this community have been gone for several years. Seeing and participating in conversations with very experienced traders that really knew there stuff, was not only educational for many, but also generated more just as interesting parallel and tangential conversations. Another major factor is the sites founder, and biggest supporter, @Big Mike has being having major health issues for several years now, which has limited his ability to be involved, and the site isn't the same without him.
In deed, it is become noticeable that forum is slowed down a bit. We can't ignore the fact that we lost(RIP) some of the members for good.
The remaining one may not seeing a good topics to get involved in or may be priority changed or retired from trading.
Some of the people working full time and don't have time to response because they are learning. Youngsters don't see the value paying for a member ship. They come spend a year trying to find quick solution so they can make money quick and then disappear in no land realising it is not as easy as it seams. We can only try to add value where it is possible.
Take me, Working full time, and trying to learn it for last 12 years. Haven't made a dime yet, and lost a lot. Read so many things on this forum but impossible to implement it because of time zone. My Session can only be 3-4 hours max 5 before US open. Can't add or suggest much
Don't discount youtube or ticktock as well. So much of information there, most of people hanging out there. They don't need to type a lot Journaling is taking time as well, and involve fingers.
I know few people on this forum who is very successful but they don't post much
Totally agree with your statement
Guys everything like forums, Reddit like platforms have seen declines amplified by AI explosive growth.
I spend pretty much all my spare time working on improving this site. We are growing again, and frankly threads like this don't help achieve that goal - which I assume everyone wants and would benefit from.
So yes, there has been a decline. Yes AI has impacted. But also, yes as of 2025 we are growing again - not shrinking - so let's focus on that and staying true to our roots of being a positive thinking community helping others.
