@AuctionContext . Just wanted to thank you for the information you've posted so far.
I'm no expert on this matter but it's nice to know I'm amongst members of my own age group lol.
I 've only bought one piece of software in my entire trading journey apart for a NT license and that was Tom Williams VSA on MS DOS from a shop on Great Tower Street London in about 1992 I think, so I'm all about the importance of volume.
All that aside, I would like to try to understand how you got 9895 as the target, which it hit to the tick btw.
I'm on UK time so perhaps you posted that target later than I think but as far as I see you posted prior to there being any volume profile at those prices for today.
Forgive any obvious ignorance on my part, would you have been referring to yesterdays profile for that 9895 target.
I posted that number when the /ES had moved up to 6893.....just thought it would be kind to give a heads up to where the auction 'combustion' suggested it had the energy to move to.
I give nuggets now and then to figure out targets. I've taught all this to selected hedge funds in the past, I may even do some teaching in the future. But, its like easter eggs for now, I give some golden nuggets now and then.
I use 20 min profiles for daily charts. Hourly for weekly charts.
If I say daily auction, then yes, its simply what the auction I was looking at suggested for an upside or downside target where the combustion of the auction had the likelihood of obtaining. In other words, its where I dumped longs from my earlier entry.
Well done !! That's exactly how an auction works. Having expectations beyond a target is greed or you just haven't been in the game long enough to have your A$$ handed to you ! Sometimes there is 'overshoot'......more often than not (assuming you get the auction right) its like a well lubed algo.
Pigs get fat...Hogs get slaughtered....Be a pig daily ! I traded a small 5 lots today. Dream big...anything is possible. I'm not posting todays trade for anything other than say...its possible ! Just start looking at the market differently and start looking at the 'raw auctions' or as this poster did, draw obvious lines and come up with target ! Nobody knows where the market is going, you just need to know where its going if it moves out of an auction.
