I owe you an apology. Your indicator does indeed provide the option of a Zigzag built on the close, rather the H/L. However, I do bring to your attention, that at least the version I have, the "Use Close Values" is not working. The Zigzag is still based on the H/L of each bar, rather than the Close.
Here's a quote from David Weis on using the "close" of each bar, from his book, "Trades about to Happen" in the chapter on tape reading, he writes, "As we have seen, Wychoff's tape reading chart involved surveying every price change, something impractical given today's volatility. To avoid this problem, I use a wave chart (based) on the closing prices of any period from one minute to one day." page. 170 (brackets add.
You'll notice on all his examples, regardless of either minute or tick, he's using the close of each bar to draw his zigzag, and most importantly, to read the Volume, i.e. tape reading.
