I have a few last questions I am curious about before I dive into this.

By opening new kadina windows, am I correct that this will not link the charts and have them move together when clicking a button?

Also, I played around with the chartographer, does that app have any way to link the charts and move through the data with a click of a button? Or is there a way to link chartographer charts with kadina?

My goal is to have a program that will:

1) Make charts of comparable function/appearance to Tradestation (scrolling, x and y axis scaling, the ts indicators I use)
2) Be able to have multiple timeframe charts linked together and use a button to build the linked charts by x ticks per click.

Would it be a huge programming task to modify the program in this way?

every kadina and chartographer window is independent.

so for example there is a seperate simulator/simulator for each instance of kadina (they're not linked).

I will point out that if in a single kadina instance.... you click on the chart window and middle-scroll, you will cycle through the different chart intervals (which are all linked to the current playback time and indicator values).

you can also take a screenshot of any current chart view in kadina by double clicking on a given chart.

if you need to be able to see multiple windows at the same time, you could modify this and add it to kadina. the chart object is independent and can be unbundled and re-used in different apps. much as how both chartographer and kadina are using the same chart control, just in slightly different ways. it would be fairly easy to have multiple windows open at once in the same simulation.... you would just make more windows and then copy how the existing ticks are fed into a window, doing this on each new window you added.
