Any one care to give me a quick refresher on the square of nine?

Did we square the $spx low of 666 on 3/6/09 today 2/11/11 @1332?

I forgot the formulas and 'offsets' for square root and adding either .5 or 1 or 1.5 or 2.0 and squaring again, etc...

Thanks if anyone can convert days and price to degrees of a circle and see if we have an initial 'hit.'

Hedvig

I don't want to insult anybody, but I am standing up for my convictions - and the Age of Enlightenment has already started about 300 years ago.

Squaring of prices is just mumbo-jumbo. The only way it could work, would be as a self-fulfilling prophecy, if the number of traders using it is large enough.

Or is there anybody out there, who can tell me why it should work?

666 is the devil so that must have been the low.

I definitely think that the devil has more fun fueling greed and inflating bubbles. The devil does not even need to use his corns to make them burst, as all bubbles burst under their own weight.

When the fear is finally spreading, the devil is probably just watching and enjoys the outcome, so why should he stop the move at 666?

The figure 666 goes back to the "Book of Revelation", where it is associated with "the Beast", which appears in the apocalyptic vision. If you try to avoid things related to the number "666", for example if you feel uneasy reading these lines, you are likely suffering from

Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia

which is one of the finest English words that I have ever read.
