Waiting for a reversal to get back to both red lines....have to be aware of where a reversal might happen though in terms of happening before it hits 1180. If it happens above that I might reconsider trying to hold a short all the way down(tighter stops). That's what I'm thinking tonight ...may change tomorrow
I was checking TF the other day, then I realized I don't have TF feed from IB.
I guess monthly data charge from ICE is $90? LOL, Do they really encourage traders to get rid of TF trading?
Yep, it keeps a lot of people away...it goes back to the CME in 2017 so it will likely be a lot more affordable, probably part of the e-mini package kind of thing.
Still have a long in play but am expecting a retest and possible failure of 1190 on the daily chart...going to be watching for a reversal after we take out 1208.
Hi All... 'just learned of (and joined) futures.io. Looks like a great place for a TF trader to hang out!
'Hope this is an OK place to post...
I showed my homegrown, *overly-complex EasyLanguage Strategy* to a colleague last night. It's 25+ pages of code, //Comments, and Print("Trace") statements. It trades the TF during the first few minutes of the day session...
After seeing it for the first time he said " hey man, you can write a profitable ORB strat in less than a page of code!".
I'm all about simplicity... and eager to "learn by example" if such code exists. TradeStation forum has been slightly helpful... and deserves my further investiagtion.
So, 'am seeking *sample ORB Strats* that are in the public domain, written in EasyLanguage... to simply see how other coders elegantly trade the "Opening Range"... of the Russell or other names.
QUESTION:
Are sample EasyLanguage strategies (written in various styles, like: ORB, mean-reversion, trend-following, gap-fill, ...) available to Elite Members of Futures.io? If so, becoming Elite makes total sense.
Any guidance and counseling on "best places to find well-written EL Strats" is appreciated... Thanks in advance.
