live TV has been sucking lately... just get Hulu and watch anything you want.. all the decent shows are getting cancelled.. everyone switching to "reality TV"... what a waste..
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
When I lived "down under", I used to watch something called "Newstopia". It is the best news satire show I've ever seen, very intelligent. The rapidity of which the jokes are delivered, made it almost hard for a non-native English speaker to keep up, though.
It almost made it hard to watch The Daily Show. For although Stewart makes some really good points, the show is also filled with rather soft ones....
I wouldn't put the John Stewart show on the same category as reality tv... That would be insulting the show is 1000 times better than a bunch of morons asking for attention.
Downunder free2air TV is stuck with too much sports. "Reality" shows like Masterchef, which has just concluded its 3rd season with 6 episodes a week over 3 months is surprisingly entertaining and do have some value apart from filling in time.
True. I do watch European films on occasion as well as some BBC productions on ABC. They are a nice change if they are not based on the typical "Hollywood" recipe, no offense intended towards anyone.
