Well guys.
Very bad news again today.
The ortho surgeon could not fix it, it is too severe for him, one of the worst he has ever seen. So a third referral now to a super-duper-special-specialist surgeon, the best in Dallas, which I see tomorrow morning. And now also many thousands of dollars.
They will put me under and have to screw in several pins into my finger due to how bad and nature of the fractures. All the meanwhile the pain is escalating.
I am not going to be able to respond much on forum for a while because it is now so difficult to type, but I will do best I can.
Mike
Damn, Mike... That sucks... I'm sure there are lot's of prayers coming from the forum for you, including
here... Try to take it easy

Am so sorry to hear Big Mike. Health is so precious. If a medical donation thread, count me in. I could see some fee here anyway, given the uniqueness of what you've created. Though I'd hope a free pass for those genuine contributors who like you make this the valuable place it is.
Man, that's a great Idea!! Let's all toss in a few bucks and we could help Mike for all he's done for us!!
I'm sure he has a PayPal account already setup... I'm one click away...

Well.
Cost is even more than thought, double, so many more thousands.
And will require two surgeries, and expected use will be 50% after 1 year, but there is a problem with infection and some other stuff all of which is bad news but I don't even want to think about it right now.
Very unhappy.
Mike
It may be time for a little taste of fine Tennessee sipping whiskey

Dude!...you're high tech to the bone...even to the point of showing your bone that your surgeon video'ed during surgery.
Bring it on!
BigMikes bad to the bone!
Big Mike
Pic just to be consistent
I may have photos or video of surgery after I meet with doctor again.

I am very sorry to hear this.
I wouldn't be concerned about keeping up with the postings. Let the moderators do that.

Everything seems so cliche when someone is in pain and there is nothing you can do for them.
Sending you best wishes and warm thoughts. Hope things start to improve soon

Tough day today. I don't want to get gross, but have been puking all day - very badly. Have been reluctant to keep taking the million pills I am on, due to upset stomach, and now the pain alone in my hand is enough to making me sick, can't stand the pain. Rock and hard place
I am not sure if it is the super strength 3 antibiotics, or the vicodin that is making me sick. Very, very unpleasant. Am on 15mg vicodin (2xlortab 7.5) every 4 hours and expected to stay on that for a couple weeks at that level.
So wish me luck into the night. Maybe I'll start to lose some weight now...
Was unable to trade today as well for obvious reasons.
Mike
