What a fantastic year end resolution. I understand what @Big Mike is saying, but if you are young and have no dependands I think Graham's is a way to go. Salary is a vicious cycle, and as you advance in your career it will be harder to break it and sacrifice towards trading. I have never heard any success story about rags to riches in a comfortable way. If you read Kiyosaki who dropped nice Xerox salesman career to sleep in a car with his wife working on his bussiness or Gates dropping off the colledge to give it a go, or Branson risking it all, or Buzzy Schwartz it was never a comfortable way with a big nest egg and little risk. Maybe BM is an exception to the rule but probably most people wouldn't care about trading if they strike it rich in their main career. Nor have the ability as most would have family and kids by that time and no risk tolerance.

I applaud @grahamg and wish him luck!
