Dude I was so confused this morning. I had 4 loosing trades so far. Then I passed on the winning trade. Haha..
Took a break then got in long at 780.9 around 12:30. I'm still in that trade because it doesn't move anywhere. This week is just crazy for me. I'm probably gonna finish with -5.5 points for today if it's not gonna start moving up.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
My main thing was that LONG was clearly the direction to trade, but I was thinking a nice retrace *COULD* occur so I was staying clear until I was certain. My very last trade of the day was really the only super clear trade to me, but it was moving soooooooooooo slow, that I decided I would rather clean my toenails...
Today I give myself a D+ for following my rules etc..
I tried a larger stop and I honestly don't think I have it in me. 2 bad trades and I got a whole lot of makeup work and it makes me lazy.
First trade out of the gates was obviously turning against me and I continued to stay in it. My 2nd trade didn't need the huge stop, but I figured I would give it a shot. I was 'wiggin' inside.
I scaled out too soon on the first good trade, but the 2nd was perfect.
I was moving my stops again, and lucky I guess.
I won't let myself get too down as I was at least able to read the direction of the market.
CL is great sometimes and I almost switched to CL probably about 9 months ago, but decided to stick with TF as the CL moves a bit differently obviously!
I also like FDAX, but when they trend THEY TREND....
You did good today. Make sure you can do that live though as your stops are large and make sure your account could handle that.
just took another spot on trade, im done for the day now. Ill try record them next time if i feel confinable
I start off woth a 20 tick stop loss, may seem excessive. But i move it up quickly according to what i see. Im using other time frames to time my entry perfect too as at the moment i find it hard to get a good entry on the 144 tick chart most of the time
I like crude the most because of the voilent prce acion and moves. I find TF, 6E, ES move to slow most of the time. although they are good trending markets. were the crude can gets NUTS and too fast and voloitine. But i have been a tape reader for 3 years which can also help
here is a screen shot of my set up at the moment, i got another screen ready. just waiting for the adaptor to arrive :-@
