I think Linda Rashke is a great trader. She is also a great teacher. However, she is not the primary person calling trades in her trade room. You can get her "Five Trading Patterns" on the internet for free !! Yes, I must say I learned some interesting TICK tricks from LBR. Especially, on a trend day. But it amounts to buying or selling on the pullback.
So, there's a lot to learn on the LBR site but...... I only did it for one month. Did not renew.
I used Tradestation for about a year. Nice graphics. But, I only used them for the charting and traded with Ninja through another broker. So..... it just didn't make sense to keep paying for Tradestation when Ninja charting was getting better and better. Can't wait for Ninja 7 to come out !! And I got the lifetime license, so now......free !! But if you've got programming skills I can understand why it's easy to keep Tradestation.
As to why Tradestations range bars are different than Ninja's......... I have no idea. I do know that range bars are new to Tradestation. When I was with them they did not have range bars.
Jeff,
You said you use ( CMIPivotsDailyDashV7 downloaded on the Ninja forum).
I can't seem to find this. Could you post the indicator for me please? I have been
using murrey math indicator like pivots and only using the 0/8, 4/8 and 8/8 as pivots.
I would like to compare them. Today the ES went to the 0/8 bottoming out then went back up to the 4/8 at close. Thanks again.
See if this works. I use the User Defined Values from mypivots.com. That way you get the "classical pivots" Let me know if you received this and if the download worked.
The CMIPivotsDailyDashV7 is in the Indicators section in the Ninja forum. Its real name is "Pivots, Prior and Current Day OHLC for Session". I've used V5 and V6 sometime ago, but I've since switched to Murrey Math. I'll test this V7 too.
It's been a while since I downloaded the pivots so I want to make sure you get the right one. This is one that might be the more recent V7. Check it out also.
The green/violet line is a 14 HMA. The gold and cyan lines are the sling shot indicator. Gold is 60 HMA and the cyan is 180 HMA. I had been working with T3 Average lines but I couldn't figure out how to get them into the sling shot, so I just tried all the different ones that are already provided in sling shot. It worked out good, because I like this better now anyway.
Yes the third panel is volume. It is volume graph which I think Mike put together.
I like to keep my chart simple. So far this is working out. I welcome any feedback.
