@rickr: Thank you for reminding me about this bug. I had already removed it, as a fellow trader had pointed this out to me, but then forgot to post the update in the downloads.
I have now updated the Better Volume and the Better Volume Overlay (paintbars only) indicators, and the issue should go away.
I was just curious if it was possible or if you thought it would be useful to add a description on each color in a future update? It currently shows "select color" on each label with just the title.
A hig volume wide range bar could be a climax or breakout bars. The breakout bar is a continuation pattern. The climax bar is a reversal pattern. You can compare this to breakaway, runaway and exhaustion gaps. You need to trade these signals in the context of the market.
The indicator exposes the BarCode as follows:
climax churn bar: BarCode = 0
climax bar: BarCode = 1
churn bar: BarCode = 2
weak climax churn bar: BarCode = 3
weak climax bar: BarCode = 4
weak churn bar: BarCode = 5
low volume bar: BarCode = 6
If you wish to check for a climax bar:
if (anaBetterVolume(int longPeriod, int shortPeriod).BarCode[0] == 1)
// do something
If you wish to check for a climax churn bar:
if (anaBetterVolume(int longPeriod, int shortPeriod).BarCode[0] == 0)
// do something

Hi Fat Tails,
I would love if I can use it in the Market Analyzer ???? can it be ???
Hi Fat Tails,
I would love if I can use it in the Market Analyzer ???? can it be ???
Thanks
This would require a modification of the code. The indicator uses an IntSeries to store the bar code. The market analyzer cannot read that IntSeries. Replacing the IntSeries with a DataSeries or transparent plot should do.

Hi Fat Tails, is it lot of work to add IntSeries or Transparent plots ???
