The pivots need to be calculated from the high, low and close (settlement for futures) of the prior trading day. You need to use the appropriate session templates depending on whether you want to display ETH (full session) or RTH (regular session) pivots.

FDAX is a bit different from CL. My experience is that ETH pivots work better than RTH pivots in general, but there can be exceptions. ON many days they are identical, if the price action after 5:30 PM is range bound.
